Terms and Conditions

Mic Check Studios: The company providing podcast studio rental and media production services.
Client: Any individual, group, or company utilizing the services of Mic Check Studios.
Studio: The facilities, equipment, and rooms (the White Room and the Black Room) provided by Mic Check Studios for recording and production purposes.

Booking Duration: All bookings are made in one-hour slots. If a session runs over the scheduled time, the client must pay for the full additional hour.
Advance Booking: Bookings must be confirmed in advance and are subject to availability. A minimum booking duration of one hour applies.
Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only after written acknowledgment or receipt of payment is provided by Mic Check Studios.
Cancellations: Clients must cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled time to receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will incur a 50% charge of the booking fee.
Rescheduling: Clients may reschedule their booking with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.

Hourly Rates: Studio rental starts from £40 per hour, inclusive of a technician.
Half-Day and Full-Day Rates:
- Weekdays: £200 for a half-day (4 hours) and £400 for a full day (8 hours).
- Weekends: £300 for a half-day (4 hours) and £600 for a full day (8 hours).
Payment Terms: Full payment must be made before the start of the session. Payment can be made via the accepted methods specified by Mic Check Studios.
Additional Charges: Any extra services or extended time beyond the booked hours will be charged. If a session exceeds the booked duration, the full additional hour will be charged.

Access and Setup: Clients will be granted access to the studio 10 minutes before the start of their session for setup. Clients must leave the studio promptly at the end of their booked time.
Equipment Use: Studio equipment use is included in the rental fee. Clients must handle all equipment with care, and any damage caused by misuse will be charged to the client.
Studio Technician: A technician will be present during sessions to assist with setup, troubleshooting, and basic equipment operation.

Content Liability: Mic Check Studios is not liable for the content recorded or produced within the studio. Clients are responsible for ensuring their content does not violate copyright laws or contain defamatory, illegal, or offensive material.
Privacy: Mic Check Studios reserves the right to refuse service for content that is deemed inappropriate or offensive.

Safety Guidelines: Clients must adhere to all health and safety regulations provided by the studio. The studio is a smoke-free and drug-free environment.
Liability: Mic Check Studios is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to property occurring on the premises. Clients are advised to keep their belongings secure and exercise caution.

Damage to Property: Clients are responsible for any damage to the studio’s property, equipment, or facilities caused during their session.
Cleanliness: Clients are required to leave the studio in a clean and tidy state. A cleaning fee may apply if the studio is left in disarray.

Editing and Content Creation: Mic Check Studios offers additional services, such as podcast editing and short-form content creation. The terms and pricing for these services will be agreed upon separately with the client.

Data Collection: Mic Check Studios may collect personal information to facilitate bookings and services. This information will not be shared with third parties without the client’s consent.
Recording Policy: Clients must notify the studio in advance if they intend to livestream or broadcast their session.

Compliance: Clients must comply with all instructions and requests made by Mic Check Studios staff.
Amendments: Mic Check Studios reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any changes.
